Introducing ZTA.PL: a brand new, meticulously engineered picture light designed to elevate the illumination of wall-hung artworks in museums, galleries, heritage settings, hospitality and private residences. Designed from first principles around light quality, serviceability and discreet elegance, it delivers an excellent level of precision, uniformity and usability. The result is a refined and sustainable luminaire that elegantly brings artwork to life.
Built with legendary ZTA focus on longevity, at the core of ZTA.PL is a dedicated aluminium extrusion made from over >90% recycled content. This robust but minimal housing boasts very specific internal geometry to deliver exceptionally even illumination from end to end. The dual-row system, set on deliberately offset axes, does more than prevent scalloping: it enables curators, designers and conservators to balance the lit effect to the unique characteristics of each artwork. For artwork with uneven colouration or sensitive upper sections, the top and bottom rows can be independently dimmed, creating a bespoke lighting profile with remarkable fidelity.
This product features an on-board dimming option. Discreetly located on the luminaire head, it allows deep, smooth, low-flicker dimming without the need for specialist tools. Each row can be independently managed, giving full control directly at the point of light. ZTA.PL’s vertical height adjustment is also toolless and self-locating, allowing effortless focusing without disturbing the artwork or fixing points. Combined with simple tilt adjustment and an integral softening lens, designers can achieve immaculate gradients of light with minimal glare and no distracting beam artefacts.
Colour quality was a core design priority. With 98+ CRI, superb R9 values and excellent TM-30 fidelity, ZTA.PL renders artworks with vibrant authenticity. Textures appear, and colours are richer and truer. Details emerge with clarity. This performance is supported by an optimised optical system that can be further customised where project-specific requirements demand it.
ZTA.PL is available in made-to-order lengths to suit every scale of artwork, from intimate frames to long, panoramic pieces. Its reversible mounting design allows it to be installed either on the wall/mounting surface or on the rear of the artwork itself, offering valuable flexibility in heritage and conservation-led projects. Users can specify remote or integral drivers; where integral is required, a steel-enclosed driver housing provides additional protection and long-term resilience. A wide range of RAL and specialist finishes allow the luminaire to blend seamlessly into carefully curated environments.
