The feature staircase at The Red Sea EDITION is conceived as a sculptural focal element and a spatial moment where architecture and light become inseparable.
Lighting is fully integrated within the form: concealed linear sources trace the inner balustrade, delivering a continuous ribbon of warm light that reinforces the fluid geometry while providing compliant illumination. Soft grazing to the surrounding vertical timber surfaces enhances texture and depth, creating contrast against the smooth plastered curves of the stair.
The composition relies on restraint rather than spectacle. Light levels are deliberate to maintain intimacy and visual comfort, allowing the staircase to glow as a crafted object within the volume rather than appear overtly lit. The result is a refined art-lighting intervention that balances drama, safety, and architectural purity while elevating circulation into a signature experiential moment.
