Conceived by the creative minds of Studioplus and MYVN Architecture, this collaborative masterpiece was brought to life during Design Uru, a week-long celebration of design excellence. The Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) curated this festival to breathe life into public spaces and foster community connections.
As you step into The Moving Hues, sheer fabric whispers secrets of the city. Torn edges evoke the raw, untamed energy of urban life. Layers of translucent fabric dance, weaving a tunnel of light that transports you to a realm of wonder.
With each passing moment, dawn’s warmth and dusk’s soft glow transform the installation. Light and shadow entwine, telling the story of transition and transformation. This portal-like sanctuary invites you to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the world around you.
At its core, the installation features a central void, “A Palanquin of Color,” where individuals can interact with light, symbolizing the transformative power of surroundings. This thought-provoking space reminds us that “you become who you surround yourself with.”
By day, the structure’s repetitive white sheer fabric appears lightweight and airy. As night falls, the fabric diffuses vibrant hues, transforming the installation into a glowing box, captivating onlookers.
The Moving Hues successfully acquainted the community with public space through light art, inviting the global lighting community to participate via Instagram. Participants chose their favorite hues, which were programmed and shared on social media, garnering warm and enthusiastic responses.
