In the heart of Amsterdam’s entertainment scene, The All Out isn’t just a bar—it’s a social playground where light, games, and vibrant energy seem to merge. Designed as an immersive escape from the ordinary, it’s a place where people come together for interactive experiences, from themed karaoke rooms and interactive darts to creative cocktails and unexpected moments of fun.
Designer Karin Langeveld and Cuby Gerards envisioned a space where light itself becomes part of the interaction. The goal? To create a playful yet atmospheric environment where every corner, every game, and every social moment is enhanced through dynamic illumination. The result is a constantly shifting visual landscape, where lighting isn’t just decoration—it’s an active player in the experience.
The All Out Amsterdam is built on the idea of unexpected entertainment, blending the best of a bar, game hall, and social hub. The lighting had to:
* Spark excitement and engagement
* Create different moods for different zones.
* Enhance the unexpected
This vision was brought to life using Vivalyte’s Pixel Neon F16F and VNL-R32 360° Neon Lighting and numerous LED linear products, providing seamless, immersive light effects that wrap around the space and respond dynamically to the energy of the room.
To ensure the lighting was as engaging as the venue itself, precise pixel control was essential. The Pixel Control System allowed for:
* Real-time adaptability, ensuring different zones could instantly transform in response to the action.
* Vivid, interactive animations, adding an extra layer of energy to every game, drink, and social moment.
* A fully immersive feel, making light an integral part of the entertainment rather than just a background element.
To match the immersive and high-energy nature of All Out Amsterdam, a dual control system was implemented, combining the best of Madrix and Visual Productions solutions. Madrix provided the backbone for pre-mapped animations and effects, ensuring seamless, pre-programmed light scenes that enhance the venue’s atmosphere. Meanwhile, Visual Productions’ DMX hardware added a crucial live event control layer, allowing DJs and performers to take over the lighting in real time. With an intuitive touch panel interface, users could effortlessly select scenes or override playback to synchronize the lighting with live performances. The DMX Merger from Visual Productions ensured a smooth transition between automated and manual control, allowing flexibility for both scheduled and spontaneous lighting interactions. This powerful combination blends automation with creative freedom.
