Prolicht is a leading company in the lighting industry, renowned for its innovative and customizable lighting solutions. Recently, Prolicht participated in Light + Building 2024, one of the world’s largest trade fairs for lighting and building services technology, held in Frankfurt. This event serves as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge developments in lighting, electrical engineering, and smart home technology.
For Light + Building, Prolicht wanted to tackle the theme of configurations, and we proposed the “Assemblages” project, which highlights the company’s unique systems that allow for extensive customization. With the ability to modify 3D surfaces, finishes, chrome options, color temperature (CCT), beam angles, and 2D curves, Prolicht’s systems empower designers and architects to create tailored lighting solutions that meet specific project needs.
The main theme of Assemblages is to raise awareness of the system’s capabilities through the design of highly distinctive objects. Rather than simply displaying technical systems, Prolicht emphasizes an almost sculptural form that transcends traditional showroom exhibits. This approach creates a more engaging experience, allowing visitors to appreciate both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the lighting solutions.
The Assemblages focus on the concept of scale, showcasing volumetrically significant designs that command attention with their height and presence, reaching up to 3 meters or more. Some of the configurations presented at the fair have evolved into readily available options, making them purchasable for customers. This development underscores Prolicht’s commitment to making customization both relevant and accessible.
During the briefing, the key question was how to effectively demonstrate the extreme configurability of Prolicht’s systems. By presenting these large-scale objects in a more refined and artistic manner, the company successfully illustrated the versatility and creative potential of its offerings. Visitors were able to visualize the multitude of possibilities for their own projects, reinforcing the message that Prolicht’s solutions are not only functional but also integral to the artistic vision of any space.
