The Fundadores Science Park is an urban and landscape intervention in the historic center of the city of Toluca, State of Mexico. With a government investment, it has become the largest urban intervention in the city of Toluca in the last 40 years. Planned as a meeting and coexistence point for Mexican families, as well as a visiting point for tourists in the city, the master plan includes a state-of-the-art 360° planetarium, an innovation and exhibition center, commercial premises and a building for parking lot.

With an area of more than 24,000 square metres, and more than 7,000 square metres of green areas, it seeks to make better use of the heritage of the historic center and create an attraction for tourism.

The lighting focused on favoring accent lighting, in walkways and pedestrian circulation areas, supported by accents in tall vegetation. The general lighting works through low poles with multi-projectors, which are focused on the areas of interest, and luminaires with street optics and solar technology oriented towards the roads.

The Fundadores Science Park has become an icon of the Mexican capital, well received by families who gather to live together and enjoy some family time, giving the starting point for a master rehabilitation plan in other parts of the centre history of the city of Toluca. The park is public and 100% accessible.
