Park Hyatt London River Thames in Nine Elms combines stunning architecture from KPF with inspiring interiors designed by Super Potato and coordinated by Studio Moren. PJC Light Studio wasthe appointed lighting designer for the project. The 203 room 5-star hotel has many amenity spaces including several restaurants and bars, a gym, a business floor and a wellness spa with swimming pool.
Carefully integrated lighting enhances interior and architectural details, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Layered lighting techniques are used to highlight art and furniture, to introduce low-level mood lighting, and combine with decorative light fittings to add depth and interesting focal points in each space.
The design incorporates the latest LED technology for exceptional efficiency, using concealed and discreet, low-glare solutions to maximize visual comfort. High-CRI sources with warm color temperatures ensure superior light quality. A Lutron control system provides fully programmable scene control for each space, allowing for seamless adjustments to suit function and time of day.
With sustainability and the circular economy becoming ever more critical, the lighting design prioritizes manufacturers leading in innovation and environmental responsibility.
