Outline Festival is more than a music festival — it’s a unique convergence of art, technology, and immersive experiences, attracting over 12,000 visitors from Russia and neighboring CIS countries. Set against the raw, industrial backdrop of an abandoned space, Outline transforms its environment into a living canvas, where light, sound, and cutting-edge installations converge to create an unparalleled atmosphere. As co-organizers and curators of the multimedia program, SILA SVETA plays a central role in shaping the festival’s artistic identity, presenting boundary-pushing works that redefine the intersection of creativity and innovation.
The 2024 edition featured 47 installations and multimedia projects, showcasing the talents of leading international studios like SILA SVETA, SETUP, Recycle Group, PANTERRA, and SHUM, as well as independent multimedia artists selected through an open call that drew over 200 submissions. Each installation was crafted to work in harmony with the festival’s soundscapes, enhancing its immersive atmosphere.
Deus Ex Machina, created by SILA SVETA and Panterra, was a striking audiovisual installation blending seamlessly with the industrial venue. Resembling a decaying supercomputer intertwined with roots, it symbolized the fragility of technology. Spectators engaged through the AI Faces booth, generating real-time avatars projected onto stage screens, making the main stage a dynamic, living entity.
Portal, a collaboration by SILA SVETA with Recycle Group, fused sculpture and multimedia to explore humanity’s digital immersion. Featuring layered plastic mesh reliefs and intricate projections, it depicted figures in a cybernetic realm, inviting spectators to reflect on their relationship with virtual realities.
Light Bath by SILA SVETA returned in 2024 with enhanced visuals and sound design, recreating sensory deprivation. Within a dome-like capsule, participants lay on a mesh platform, surrounded by synchronized light and spatial audio, evoking rebirth and offering a moment of introspection and tranquility.
Outline’s approach to light and multimedia design is at the core of its identity.
