In the heart of Arcadia, an emblematic building of 1929, closed and abandoned for years, “Mana Sanatorium” is revisited, reconstructed, reborn as the MANNA Hotel, a retreat embodying unique aesthetics and an array of services, nestled amidst forest, a beautiful lake, and crystalline creeks, offering year-round experiences of pure wellness. The revival of this esteemed structure was entrusted to the architects and interior designers, K-Studio. Collaborating closely with the national committee of restoration, they restored this listed building, honoring its original architecture and profound historical legacy.
Upon entering the Manna Hotel, guests are embraced by a welcoming ambiance created by a combination of the interiors carefully curated by warm lighting. Soft light, casting a gentle glow that accentuates the elegant décor whether in day time or accordingly at night. Most of the decorating light fixtures are bespoke custom designed by us and approved by the architects. A custom-made chandelier, inspired by the unique character of the space, hangs inside the welcome area. Custom-made appliques with warm-toned hues contribute to a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with their sim0ple style and 2700K output.
In the guestrooms, the lighting design focuses on providing a serene and relaxing environment. Bedside lamps, also designed by us, offer personalized comfort for reading or unwinding. The light is diffused through textured lampshades, illuminating the space with a soft, ambient glow. Each room boasts custom-designed wall fixtures adding a touch of enchantment to the space.
The spa area is a heaven of tranquility enhanced by carefully designed lighting. Soft, indirect lighting emanates from concealed sources, creating a soothing and peaceful aura. The lights in treatment rooms allow guests to enjoy the ambiance, fostering an atmosphere of relaxation. Underwater lights in the Cave Poole emit a gentle, rippling glow, encouraging guests to indulge in a serene aquatic experience.
The restaurant exudes an intimate and inviting. Warm-toned appliques are casting a warm illumination highlighting the architectural details and artwork, adding a unique character to the dining space. The ambient lighting design of the space inspired by the surrounding natural beauty, reinforces the dining experience.
The hotel maximizes the use of natural light by incorporating large windows, skylights, and strategically positioned architectural elements that allow daylight to flood the spaces. This not only reduces the dependency on artificial lighting during the day but also creates a seamless connection between the indoor environment and the picturesque natural surroundings of Arcadia.
The lighting of Manna Hotel was designed with respect in nature using LED lighting technology throughout its premises and a sophisticated system of smart lighting controls allowing precise management of light levels. All custom-made light fixtures are crafted from sustainable and eco-friendly materials aligning with the hotel’s commitment to sustainability.
