The Lacrimosa pendant is a truly unique design. Lacrimosa is Latin for “weeping” and relates to the asymmetric form, a slightly twisted tear drop with the light source tucked up inside, resulting in a low glare pendant. It is available in various sizes and curated arrangements. What makes Lacrimosa truly groundbreaking? It shatters the boundaries of traditional 3D FDM printing with an entirely non-planar print path. Unlike conventional printing, where layers are stacked flat, Lacrimosa’s print head moves continuously across all three axes—creating a seamless, flowing form that’s as bold as it is beautiful.

Available with a 340 degree optic that gives the form a strong glow or a narrow beam that has a more subtle glow but creates a soft pool of light below the pendant and boasts up to 121 luminaire lumens per circuit watt! This range is not simply for decoration, it is a useful lighting tool, with high efficacy and a variety of installation options. Lacrimosa Pro can provide practical light levels that don’t require supplementary lighting.

Standard finish options are white, textured – super matt black. Stone effect, moss green stone and red brick. Also available in any classic RAL colour or naturally coloured plant polymer blends that re-purpose waste, transforming by products into attractive, eco-friendly products, including coffee, chocolate, spent grains form breweries, oyster and scallop shells.

LumiAdd designs products with a focus on circular economy principles, using 3D printing to create zero-waste luminaires. Their products are manufactured with plant polymers (PLA and PHA), derived from renewable resources, offering benefits like biodegradability and a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to traditional materials like aluminium.

LumiAdd encourages product reuse through a buy-back scheme, ensuring luminaires are returned for refurbishment or recycling. Rated “EXCELLENT CIRCULARITY” by CIBSE’s TM66, LumiAdd supports sustainability by reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, and promoting local production to minimise transportation emissions.
