“If structure and design form the bones and blood of architecture, light is its first breath—awakening stone and steel, animating stillness, and weaving soul into space.”

On the 50th floor of Kimpton TST, it unveils its crown jewels ‘Swim Club’: bars inspired by 1980s charm, blending vintage leisure with bold modernity. Anchored by an outdoor pool, the design embraces a playful swimming club aesthetic, evoking endless summer days. Guests lounge in retro glamour, sip beneath the skyline, and escape into a nostalgic yet fresh retreat.

The journey begins at the entrance, where light flows through curved ceilings and walls, blending warm whites with subtle green reflections from the pool. Layered illumination breathes life into the space, immersive and serene, drawing the gaze toward a framed city view. Inside Swim Club, ceiling fixtures cast golden hues, while table lamps create intimacy, lighting conversations like quiet stages. Beyond the windows, Hong Kong glows against the bar’s haloed curves and shimmering backlit bottles, evoking sunlight on water.

A hidden door reveals High Dive—a secluded lounge for intimate gatherings. Here, chandeliers and ambient glows enrich textures and colors, balancing refinement with comfort. Outdoors, the terrace opens to Victoria Harbour, bathed in warm light that encourages relaxation. Subtle reflections guide the eye outward, framing the skyline and bridging calm elegance with the city’s vibrant rhythm.

From sculptural corridors to rooftop escapes, lighting narrates and elevates, harmonizing architecture with life, turning space into experience and memory. Lighting shapes experiences, not merely illuminating but sculpting atmosphere and emotion. It sets tone, defines character, and choreographs rhythm, from grand entrances to intimate corners, guiding guests through a journey of ambiance and design.

Kimpton TST’s lighting design embodies sustainability without compromising elegance. Energy-efficient LED fixtures reduce power consumption and maintenance, while daylight sensors, timers, and dimmers ensure lighting is used only when needed. Natural light is maximized by day, transitioning to tailored nighttime strategies that conserve energy and enhance comfort.

Beyond efficiency, fixtures follow a circular lifecycle: at end-of-service, they return to suppliers for dismantling, repair, and refurbishment. Renewed products reenter circulation with fresh warranties, minimizing waste and promoting a sustainable supply chain. This integration of technology, design, and reuse reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility and a brighter future.
