Named in reference to the delicate confluence of the linear light source and central pivoting fixture, Kilter is designed to overcome traditional challenges of S14d light sources. The lightly frosted glass finish subtly exposes and celebrates the internal filament when illuminated while celebrating the form of a typical S14d light source.
Mirroring the tubular shape of the bulb, the circular wall fixture creates an anchor point for the linear bulb to sit, perfectly, in its centre. The Wall Light fixture is available in White and Dark Grey enamel finishes, as well as Tala’s signature Solid Brass.
Rated IP44, Kilter includes a carefully designed rubber gasket to protect the bulb and fixture from moisture, making it an ideal bath bar or vanity light, while the clean and contemporary construction references its heritage in lighting design.
Another departure from industry norms, Tala’s Kilter S14d light source is available in two lengths – 640mm and 500mm – and two colour temperatures – 2200K and 2700K, catering for both functional and ambient use cases.
Launched in September 2022 during London Design Festival.
