Gigi Rigolatto brings the brand’s familiar warmth to Dubai city’s waterfront, translating its signature ambiance into a setting shaped by open air, natural materials, and the rhythm of coastal life. The mission was to create an environment that feels comfortable and recognisable, yet genuinely connected to Dubai’s scale, climate, and evening atmosphere.

The venue unfolds across terraces, gardens, and shaded structures that remain exposed to the sky. These architectural layers are gently illuminated from below, allowing light to pass through planting and timber in quiet, shifting patterns. This approach adds depth and texture without overwhelming the space, supporting a calm transition from day into evening.

A defining requirement was the use of a candle-warm colour temperature throughout all exterior lighting. This consistent glow mirrors the light at each table and anchors the entire space in a sense of softness. Custom pendants, wall lights, and floor lamps were introduced not only to provide practical illumination, but also to maintain a relaxed, residential quality, one that makes the large outdoor setting feel personal and approachable.

Because the venue sits on the coastline, durability and ease of maintenance were important from the outset. Materials, finishes, and installation methods were selected to withstand humidity, heat, and frequent service demands, all while keeping the visual presence of the lighting discreet.

The completed scheme supports the brand’s intent to offer a human-scaled, welcoming environment. It provides the brightness needed for dining and circulation, yet preserves the gentle glow that defines Gigi’s atmosphere, ensuring the experience remains warm, cohesive, and unmistakably aligned with the brand.
