Garden of the Soul is an interior space conceived as a sensory refuge, where light becomes an emotional guide rather than a purely functional element. The project explores how subtle contrasts, warm tones and carefully controlled shadows can shape atmosphere, intimacy and calm within a low-budget framework.
The lighting design, developed by Estudio Dedós, responds to the architectural language with restraint and precision. Instead of relying on quantity or spectacle, the project focuses on balance: light reveals textures, frames moments of pause and allows darkness to exist as an essential part of the experience.
Artificial light is layered to support different moods throughout the space, creating depth while respecting the human scale. Transitions between areas are softened through gradation rather than abrupt changes, encouraging a slow and contemplative journey.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful lighting design can elevate an interior scheme regardless of budget, proving that sensitivity, intention and emotional clarity are the true drivers of meaningful spatial experiences.
