Euclid 40 ERLE System IP20 - Radiant Architectural Lighting
The idea behind the development of the Euclid 40 ERLE System is to extend the working life up to 30 years by making the light engines as easy as possible to replace on-site.
The Easily Replaceable Light Engines (ERLE) can be replaced without using any specialist tools or requiring the system to be removed from its mounting location.
The Radiant Euclid 40 system has been developed for use in a wide variety of linear direct and accent lighting applications including wall grazing and wall washing.
A hinged clamshell design clamps the aluminium core LED light engines to the heatsink with a cam action, ensuring excellent thermal management, and also allows them to be easily removed and replaced.
Once the extruded aluminium side panel is released by the rotational locks and hinged open the light engines can be accessed and unplugged from the wiring loom using the proprietary connectors. New light engines can then be plugged into the system wiring, pushed into position and the hinged panel closed and locked.
Keeping the lighting system in use for an extended period is one of the most effective ways to reduce the overall carbon footprint of this type of system.
The additional benefit of this design approach is that the lit effect can be modified and updated during the service life of the system by easily changing the optics or LED boards. Changes of LED light engine colour temperature or beam angle become a simple on site change rather than a major drama.
TIR lenses are mounted to the LED board with spring clips, allowing them to be changed on-site, giving the ability to adjust the lit effect easily. The spring clip mounting also allows for easier recycling and reuse of the lenses. Remote drivers can be replaced at their end of life.
The system can be configured as a linear system for straight runs and as an articulated system for use in curved locations. The shorter luminaire sections used for the articulated type are connected with Radiant’s patented ball-joint system.

The Euclid 40 ERLE System provides up to 5,000 lumens per metre, depending on the LED colour temperature and the optics used.
Anti-glare accessories including customisable snoots can be specified to ensure excellent visual comfort.
