Rako’s new DIN range offers specifiers and integrators a brand new way to design and install Rako’s lighting control system. As a company looking for further growth and expansion, DIN rail is something often preferred by the commercial sector and in European installations, thus allowing us to enter new and diverse market areas.

For a product that is rarely seen and installed in a distribution cupboard, Rako chose not to utilise a generic DIN housing but to design from the ground-up with an innovative clean design, unique look and user friendly 45 degree push terminals and LED readout for easy install and operation.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the DIN range will sit alongside Rako’s flexible RAK8 range, providing an alternative wired solution whilst offering a standardised installation method via DIN rail.

Initial offerings for the first phase of DIN products include;

* DIN 4T – Four channels of smooth 4K Dimming for mains dimmed loads.
* DIN DLI – For multi room DALI control.
* DIN 8S – Eight channels of switching for non dim lighting, fans, motors and other non dimmed loads.
* DIN 4C – Four channels of curtain and blind control for both mains and LV curtains and blinds.
* DIN-Link – Network controller and keypad power supply.

To simplify installation and set-up, Rako have partnered with Future Automation who can supply bespoke enclosures with Rako’s DIN units mounted and pre-wired off-site, and supplied as fully populated units with all connections and terminals. Alternatively, individual DIN units can be supplied by Rako and fitted by installers onsite, providing maximum flexibility. With either option, installation is simplified as installers and integrators can pre-programme the units before going to site.

Like all Rako products they are interoperable allowing the new DIN system to seamlessly link with wired and wireless Rako products including Rako’s three distinct keypad ranges; Classic, Modular and EOS. All keypads will work seamlessly with the DIN range ensuring there is a perfect aesthetic solution to suit all project scenarios.

This new offering demonstrates Rako’s ongoing commitment to providing flexible solutions for different installation applications. With overwhelmingly positive feedback from visitors at recent exhibitions including Essential Install, Light 24 & ISE 2025 we believe that the new DIN range will prove to be an exciting and welcome addition to the Rako product family.
