The Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas is an art deco jewel with exquisite detail and southwestern flair. With seating for up to 14,000, the enormous state-of-the-art multipurpose facility can host a variety events including concerts, sports, community events and the Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo. The main building has three primary public levels and four two-story lobbies which double as prime event spaces themselves. Bespoke fixtures and intricate lighting details weave through the entire arena complex.

Custom “desert rose” pendants are suspended through tall interior canyons along the East and West Lobbies, complemented by additional custom fluted art deco wall sconces. These sconces flow through the Southern Lobby and pull inspiration from the multi-tiered articulated ceiling above. The swooping concentric coves build up to a fan-like display that radiates across the lobby. Each blade of the fan incorporates two inset, backlit grilled laylights with linear illuminated slots in-between. At the opposite end of the building, the large elliptical North Lobby is capped with a subtle convex ceiling. Custom torchiere sconces adorn the surrounding pillars and push light upwards towards the centre of the inverted dome while perimeter downlights and coves fill in the edges of the room. Overlooking the North Lobby, the North Club Dining Area sparkles with decorative glass ball pendants peppered throughout. Four prominent public staircases, two octagonal and two elliptical, anchor the corners of the arena, each with a custom desert rose pendant at the top. Two differently styled high-end multi-level bar spaces punctuate the end of the bowl to serve the patrons. The North Club uses wood and metal detailing while the South Club draws attention with walls of glowing backlit Onyx.

On the exterior, elaborate glowing grilled windows run vertically up the towers enclosing the public staircases, replicating the backlit laylights of the interior and framing the lobby entrances. Pole mounted spotlights with various distributions highlight mosaic murals and bronze sculptures embedded into the façade. Custom octagonal lantern sconces flank the main entrance doorways and welcome guests entering from any direction. The raised plaza, accessed via grand staircases that lead up from street level, is built over the support building which houses animals during rodeos and doubles as trade show space in the off season. Columnar pole fixtures run through the site providing general illumination while in-grade uplights highlight the trees planted along the bosques. Custom octagonal pole fixtures, complementary to the façade sconces, march across the pedestrian bridge from the parking garage ensuring a well-tailored and custom experience for each guest in their entire journey through the complex. The craftsmanship and dedication to detail of the Dickies Arena transform this cultural institution into a beacon of elegance for all to experience.
