This project reimagines the lighting design of a traditional majlis or diwan, a place where people, especially the elderly, gather daily and on special occasions. The architectural concept featured two distinct layers: the main core building and a diamond-shaped shell as a second layer. Through thoughtful lighting design, we separated the two masses visually with a silhouette effect. Grazers were installed between the two masses to subtly illuminate the separation during daily use, offering a soft and welcoming ambiance and enhancing the functionality and aesthetic of the space. While for special occasions, integrated lighting within the diamond shell grooves elevated the building’s presence, making it a beacon in the neighborhood by transforming the majlis into a focal point of elegance and leaving a lasting impression on visitors.

Also, To create a warm and inviting experience, we employed uplights at the entrance. This strategy emphasized the entryway, generating a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with the majlis’s purpose as a communal gathering space.
