DALI PRO 2 IoT is the innovative lighting control technology for the Internet-of-Things (IoT) age.

Its integrated IoT gateway and open Application Programming Interface (API) for REST/ MQTT protocols, provide a simple way to access third party software and cloud solutions, thus enabling IoT use cases. It furthermore allows for automatic updates and remote connection to the controller.

The browser-based graphical user interface offers a time-saving and intuitive commissioning experience, using either a notebook computer (LAN or Wi-Fi) or a smart device (Wi-Fi). The product’s rich feature set currently includes remote access for changes to the configuration without the need to visit the site, automatic testing and reporting of DALI emergency lights, a fixture failure notification function, as well as a mobile user App.

Provided that the connected LED drivers are prepared for the D4i specification parts 251 to 253 (luminaire, energy and diagnostics data), the built-in gateway can push data to the cloud, where they can be monitored and safely accessed from anywhere in the world. The OSRAM Energy Monitoring and Maintenance Assistant (EM/MA) cloud service enables you to navigate, monitor and optimize your lighting installations. The dashboard immediately provides you with an overview of the entire lighting installations within the building(s) you are monitoring. It shows the data that will help you identify possibilities to optimize your lighting system, together with easy and fast access to individual operating hours of the luminaires for better planning of the maintenance schedule.

But you can also create your own dashboard and offer your own innovative services, using our REST/MQTT API. This way, the lighting installation can interface with third-party cloud applications.

OSRAM continuously releases new features and firmware to automatically update the product, so that it is future proof and always up to date. There is therefore no need for product replacement, which reduces the environmental impact.

2022 saw new features being released, like the Emergency Lighting (EL) feature: you can now ensure occupant safety by controlling and testing your self-contained emergency Device-Type-1 (DT1, acc. to emergency certification DALI-2) luminaires, using the same lighting controller as for your normal DALI installation. You can use the Web UI or the PC Tool to log into the controller and configure the frequency of the function and duration tests or trigger both tests at your will.

The controller also generates emails reports and sends out alarm notifications in case of a detected failure in the lighting installation
Summarizing, the feature set provided by the DALI PRO 2 IoT (emergency lighting, alarm notifications, remote access, intuitive browser-based graphical user interface, the Energy Monitoring and Maintenance Assistant (EM/MA) cloud service and the integrated gateway with open API) represents a unique, intuitive and future-proof lighting control-platform for IoT solutions.
