Celeste takes the familiar elegance of a fluted glass pendant and turns it into a living, expressive light instrument. Inside the glass tube, high performance RGBW LEDs create smooth whites, vivid colors and soft pastels. An internal diffuser blends everything into a seamless glow, while individually controllable segments let the light move through the pendant with natural, fluid motion.

Celeste began with a request from a lighting design studio in Barcelona: a classic glass pendant that looked timeless, but behaved like a dynamic lighting canvas. At OneEightyOne, custom solutions are a natural part of our work. Twenty years of experience, a deep library of components and fast prototyping allowed us to create a proof of concept within days, leading quickly to the final design.
Inside each glass cylinder sits a pixel-driven RGBW system. Every internal segment can be controlled with precision, allowing light to travel, pulse or shift through the pendant in a way that feels organic and alive. The internal diffuser keeps the effect perfectly soft, with no visible LEDs and no harsh transitions. One pendant looks refined. A group becomes a digital sculpture.
This is where Celeste truly comes to life: the content. In larger chandeliers, each segment becomes part of a unified scene. Gentle color waves can move through the space like a sunset, soft gradients can evoke drifting clouds, and dynamic patterns can suggest flowing sand or subtle natural motion. These scenes enrich the room far beyond functional lighting and turn the fixture into an ambient experience.
The result is a pendant that merges classic craftsmanship with advanced digital lighting.
