The architect’s aim in his design was to reflect the guiding principles of Dr. Barr’s work: amorphous soft lines that pay homage to the contours of the human face, which he sculpts with extraordinary precision and elegance.
The shades chosen for the space – natural sandy tones – were carefully selected to create an atmosphere of calmness, openness, and connection to the human body. The goal was to create a harmonious, warm, and welcoming space that offers clients a sense of comfort and embrace, while also being distinctive.

The lighting design for the clinic was created with the intention of complementing the clinic’s architectural features. The design aims to enhance the sense of comfort and tranquility for patients, while also supporting the specific functional needs in the treatment room.
The clinic’s overall lighting approach utilizes a combination of ambient, accent and task lighting to create a balanced and inviting environment. Soft, diffused light is used throughout the waiting areas and corridors to establish a serene, calming atmosphere. The warm color temperature enhances the natural materials and finishes within the space, helping visitors feel at ease the moment they step into the clinic.

The treatment room is designed with a more focused and distinct lighting scheme that addresses the specific needs of the doctor’s practice.
Above the treatment zone, a backlit stretch ceiling provides bright, direct illumination for the doctor’s work and eliminates shadows. This is in complete contrast to the desk area which is used for the doctor’s unique diagnostic process which includes directed spotlights and shadows are welcome.

A renowned artist who visited the clinic described the space as ‘a feminine and enveloping realm, free of sharp lines – a kingdom that instills a sense of security and tranquility.’ This perspective showed the space in a new light – a place where design and emotion merge in harmony.
