Francesca Amfitheatrof’s High Jewellery Collection, Deep Time, was unveiled at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus directed, choreographed by Dimitris Papaioannou.

The performance utilised the stage for the seating reversing the spectators view as the auditorium served as the actual performance space and background. The catwalk took place on stage circulating among the guests. The show concluded with the “birth” of Aphrodite from a gigantic Nautilus shell. As Aphrodite appeared, 25 male performers gathered around her, dressing her with shell parts that gave light reflections all around. The lighting design together with the music created a 5’ grand finale! For the lighting of the Jewelry, a customised ring light was designed to fit on the face and attached on a head-mask worn by each male performer so to illuminate the jewellery, worn my the models, from close, as the male performers were walking backwards guiding the route. The ring light was emitting accurate, soft and diffused light combed with 3 miniature spots on top, in 3 temperatures of white, and high CRI to accentuate the jewellery’s brilliance without creating harsh shadows or glare. The ring lights were wireless, battery operated and controlled by the console through a custom made system with miniature antennas attached on the performers’ costumes enabling the lighting to create lighting ques with the ring lights.
